Blog-Tember Day 8 | Just Give Me Fall

Today’s prompt: Tell us about your favorite season.  Why is it your favorite season and what does it say about you?

I have been excited for this post!

My favorite season is fall.

If you’ve read my blog over the years that might be clear. You can read about my love of this season and my fall bucket lists here and here.

Growing up I would always ask my mom what her favorite season was and she would always say fall without fall. I thought this was strange because summer was when school was out and you could go swimming. Besides orange has never been my favorite color. Now I feel like I’ve inherited my mom’s love for fall and completely understand why.

Why I Have Fallen In Love with Fall:

I love that school does start in the fall

I love school supplies

I’m a huge fan of scarves, boots and leggings

Pumpkin spice everythingggggg

Lighting candles is my favorite

Being cozy

I love the cooler weather

The beaches are finally empty again

I love a new planner

Pumpkin patches

My husband and my birthday reside in the fall

Fireplaces

The food: pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, chowders, soups, fresh apples from orchards, smores.

I think Thanksgiving is the best. ALL THE FOOD.

The excitement of Christmas coming

Long walks at dusk around the neighborhood with Scott

Traditions

The smell of trees

The colorful leaves

A time to be grateful

My parents have been in town for Labor Day weekend and it has been hot. (like 90 degrees...welcome to San Diego) Still my mom insisted she buy me my first Pumpkin Spice candle of the season. Last night we all had take-out Thai food with my happy little pumpkin candle burning away. :)

I am looking forward to reading all about your favorite seasons! Thank you to all my readers! You have been so kind and precious!

  1. Yes, fall! Love it to pieces! God made some amazing seasons, but autumn is my favorite, too! {Thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving a comment, by the way - those make my day & I hope this one makes you happy, too}. I've already had a pumpkin blizzard at Dairy Queen. I love, too, how the excitement of Christmas approaches in the fall.
    Blessings & Love,
