Today’s prompt: It’s
guilty pleasure time! Shows, books, songs, foods whatever it might be!
Moment
of truth: I don’t exactly believe in “guilty pleasures” I only believe in
pleasures. Lol. I have just removed the whole guilt part (at least for the most
part)
I
grew up with a MASSIVE guilt complex. Ask any of my family members. I
apologized on average about 20 times a day for literally everything I did or
didn’t do.
Today
I try not to think in black and white terms of my decisions (good versus bad
food for example) I try to think more abstractly and give myself lots of
compassion. I try to stay curious before I judge myself.
So
my what brings me pleasure? (well this is starting to sound oddly sexual now) Promise
to keep it PG:

Keeping
tags on new things forever because it makes it feel new longer. (drives Scott
nuts)
Not
doing laundry and buying more underwear at Target instead

sheepish feelings about this)

my car over when I see a sign for puppies and pretending I am interested and
can afford 1,000 for this niche breed.

Can't wait to hear about yours!
Hi Heather, love your post! Anyone who loves puppies is ok by me :) Our furbaby Jade is a rescue and she is such a joy :) You love chocolate too :) My entire guilty pleasures post is all about chocolate! I've been far too fond of Kraft Cheesy Pasta (boxed macaroni cheese here in Scotland) for too many years, I can't help it, so I no longer try, and I don't eat it terribly often, it's a rare treat so I figure it's ok :) Lovely to met you, sending heaps of hugs xx
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you Rosie! Your fubaby Jade is so cute! Sometimes I go on rescue dog sites and want to rescue all the puppies! Our landlord doesn't allow dogs but I can't wait till we can have one. Also you live in Scotland?!! My husband and I have been saving to go there for years!!! Hoping to make it happen someday in the next 5 years :)
DeleteChocolate pretzels dipped in peanut butter! YUM. I have and will continue to do that for as long as I live! Haha. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who smells books either ;)
